Helens choice of wedding cake was inspired by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, the Scottish architect, designer, water colourist and artist, whose work played an influential role in European design movements such as art nouveau.

The cake was a two tier cake made from raspberry & white chocolate sponge, sugar calla lilies provided the finishing touch.


One of his famous designs was The Room de Luxe at The Willow Tearooms, Glasgow, where he designed  the furniture and interior, the style of which are clearly identifiable in this cake design too.
